Girl Talk

Seraphine's day has been uneventful, still she's been looking forward to a hot bath and a good book to relax with. The fire is already going and there is a bottle if wine on the side table between two comfy arm chairs. After her bath she's firmly set in a pair of satin pajamas and is ready to spend the evening with a bit of escapist fantasy and wine.

Apparently knocking is not something Jude feels is necessary as she barges into Sera's room. She is still in her clothes from the day, an absolutely ecstatic look on her face. "You will NEVER believe what happened," she squeals, half-skipping across the room as she settles into the other arm chair.

Seraphine jumps as her room us barged into and stares at her best friend like she has grown a second head. "Did you finally do the deed? You look like you have. Nothing else would have you talking so high pitched." She gestures toward the other chair, even if her friend doesn't seem like she could even sit down at the moment.

"What?" Jude asks, looking briefly confused. "Oh, nooo." She gives Sera a look as she reaches for the wine and pouring herself some into an extra glass. She curls both feet under her. "I met /him/," she squeals. "H.R. Smyth. The author." She adds these both for Sera's benefit, a silly grin lighting up her face. "AND. He KISSED me. On the lips."

"What?!" Seraphine says, suddenly interested in what happened. "How?! Are you sure it was him and not some random stranger?" She would doubt her friends story, if she wasn't so excited about it.

"YES!" Jude takes a huge gulp of wine, couching slightly as she tries to swallow in her excitement. "So," she begins once she's stopped coughing, leaning over towards Sera. "I was working and this /very/ handsome man darts in. He tells me he's hiding from someone woman and just needed to lay low and that he'd buy some things too. So I was talking to him and asked why she was following him so eh said he writes books, probably not anything I read and I asked what. And he said the Gustav Knight adventures!" The words are all coming out very fast, but finally she pauses to breathe and take a sip of wine. "And then I got to /save/ him. I told the lady he ran off into Knockturn and when he was thanking me he KISSED me," she repeats gleefully.

Seraphine settles in for the story, tucking her legs under herself and looking intently at her friend. "So he is handsome? No one has snapped a picture of him, so I was wondering if he was a troll or something. It's good to know he's attractive." It perhaps makes the books more bareable to her. Hearing that she saved her 'knight' in shinning armor, Seraphine laughs and even claps as the story comes to a close. "Seriously? That's probably the best moment of your life. So… when are you going to see him again?"

“I thought he was handsome.” Jude pauses thoughtfully for a moment. “I touched his hair when he kissed me. That was weird, wasn’t it? I mean it was just a brief kiss.” She takes another sip of wine as Sera talks before nearly dropping her glass. “Oh my god. I didn’t even ask his real name!” The horror of this is evident in her features. “Ugh never. My life is doomed.”

"Well it's not weird if he had nice hair!" Sera replies with a laugh. "Well what did he look like? Is he blond? Brunette? I must know!" Though when she hears that she didn't even get his real name, Seraphine stares at her. "You didn't get his name! This is the man who created your perfect man! How could you not get his name!?"

"It was sooo nice," Jude confirms with a nod. "He had brown hair, tall, really nice eyes. Kind of broodingly handsome." At the question she makes a pained look. "I don't /know/. I wasn't thinking straight. I only even told him my name at the end. I think he did say he'd come back to restock his potions supplies though. So maybe? But I was like a crazy person when I found out who he was. I don't think he's really come back. Maybe to be nice since I rescued him. But." She shrugs, sipping at her wine. "At least I met him!"

"There is something so appealing about a broody man. You know he's going to be amazing in bed, or at least he is to make up for his broody nature." Seraphine laughs as she hears that her friend went a little crazy for the author. "I'm surprised you didn't propose marriage right then and there as much as you go on about him. So if he does come back to the store, are you going to ask him out?" Holding up her wine glass in a toast she smirks. "You didn't just meet him, you snogged him! That beats any kiss you.would of had at Hogwarts."

"Really?" Jude asks eagerly. "I never thought about that. I don't think I've dated many broody men." Though she hasn't dated many men period. She takes another big sip of her wine, clearly giddy. "Well it wasn't exactly a snog…more like." She leans out of her chair over towards Sera pressing her lips against her friend's to show her the type of kiss it was. "See, like that," she says rather matter of factly. "And should I? I don't know. I don't think it's a good idea."

"I've dated plenty, it's almost as if I have a type." Erasmus is a broody sort of fellow after all, but she doesn't remind her friend about that. When she is kissed she doesn't look all that surprised, mostly because it's probably happened before and this was of course important information about the clandestine kiss. "Well at least he didn't try and shove his tongue down your throat." When she asks about the date she scoffs. "Honestly, what other chance are you going to get? This is the man who has created the man of your sex dreams! Besides, if you don't then I won't tell you about my newest friend."

“You? A type?” Jude teases as she settles more comfortably into her chair, hugging her knees to her chest and sipping her wine slowly. “True. That would have been very weird.” The woman wrinkles her nose. “But I’m sure he wouldn’t be interested and more importantly he has WAY more experience than me. He was talking about how in books it’s all just fake and not always so romantic in real life but that it’s better or something. I had no idea what to say to that.” She stops though at Sera’s last comment, eyes going wide. “What new friend?” She demands. “Are you shagging someone and you didn’t tell me? Who? Do I know him?”

Seraphine makes a face at her friend and shakes her head. "I like what I like." She says casually. Though hearing Jude's excuses she scoffs. "He'd be a great teacher then! Better then some fumbling man who doesn't know how to touch a woman. Besides i wpuld be the closest to shagging Gustav as you could get. That would be amazing for your first." Still she shrugs her shoulders when her new friend is brought up. "Maybe? Magnus Thripp, he was ahead of us and in Gryffindor. He's a Cursebreaker so has often out of town." Which screams of a low commitment arrangement that Seraphine favors.

“That you do,” Jude tells her with a knowing look before retreating to the back of her chair, pulling her knees closer. “It doesn’t matter though. I don’t think I will see him again.” She leans forward again though as Sera starts to dish “Ooh! A Gryffindor… definitely not your type,” she teases. “That’s great though! You need someone. Even if it’s just for a shag.”

"Hey, you might. You did save him after all, he at least owes it to you to patronize your wears." She says suggestively with a wink. Shaking her head she leans forward to refill both wine glasses. "Well he still has that broody look to him, so I think that lay least takes the sting if him being a Gryffindor away. He also doesn't seem to mind that I show up just for a shag. Which is refreshing after that last guy, whose name I've already forgotten."

“True. He does at least owe me that much,” Jude replies completely missing the suggestiveness of the comment. She laughs though. “Ah yes well if he looks the part,” she teases. “So you’re using him for sex are you? How very modern of you,” she teases. “I assume it as least good then. And I suppose you don’t plan on letting me meet him?”

"Indeed, so I'm sure you'll see him again. Just put on that low cut top I bought you for Christmas and you'll have your date for sure." When Sera is called out she shrugs and begins an innocent look. "Well, we do iccsaionnaly eat or drink before hand but yes, sex is our primary function. He doesn't seem like the type that wants to settle down anyway." Drinking from her glass she frowns. "I don't even bring him home, that's way too attached."

“That top is TOO low for me,” Jude protests. She just smirks at Sera after. “One of these days though you should find someone you actually want to spend time with beyond just having sex. Like date. And what’s the difference if you shag at his place or yours?”

"Jude, you have beautiful breasts and it's a crime to hide them from the world." Seraphine smirks before she sighs. "It's just my own space, and if a guy stays here then he might spend the night and that's too complicated." She waves her hand toward her bed before she frowns. "Well I did find someone and I can't have him so what's the point?"

Jude snorts laughing. "My tits are no one else's business though!" she protests, still laughing. One she's calm enough to take a drink she does that, her wine glass slowly emptying. "Well if he's up for a shag and is fine with you not staying the night there, what makes you think he'd want to stay the night here." She frowns, looking pained in her friend's place. "I know, love, but then maybe it's time to let him go. Or at least try to. Or just…think of it as an alternative?" she suggests hopefully.

"They could be! Mr. Smyth might like them!" She teases as she sets her wine glass down. "I am over it." Even she knows that's a lie. "Bu t I haven't found anyone better." Though looking back a t her bed she shrugs. "I guess it's easier to make an excuse and leave if the sex is bad then it is to kick someone out."

Jude looks down at her breasts, surveying them. “Eh we shall see. I still can’t believe I didn’t ask his name.” She looks back up just in time to roll her eyes at Sera. “Fool anyone else. You can’t fool me. But it’s okay. I get it. I just don’t want to see you wasting away because of him.” She lifts her eyebrows. “Sure but you’re already shagging this one so probably you know if the sex was good or not. Plus now that I’m settled into my room here I can sneak a peek.” The true motives!

"That's all on you." Seraphine teases and she too is shocked that she didn't get HR's real name. "Well I'm not wasting away, I'm stil having fun. For now that'l have to be enough." Seraphine shrugs as she pours them each more wine and scoffs. "I am not bringing him here so you can peep on us! I'm sure he'll be in the paper for one reason or another, you can look at him then! Now are you going to keep lingering in here or can I get back to my book?"

“Fine, have your fun for now. But that conversation is not over,” Jude tells Sera pointedly. She lifts her eyebrows though. “Why would he be in the paper?” She eyes her wine and then her friend. “Yes, yes. I am going to go take a bath anyways. I’m taking the wine though.” She grins at Sera a last time before getting to her feet and skipping out the door.

Seraphine makes another face at Jude before she shrugs. "I'll give him up when you give up Gustav." She winks, knowing that Jude isn't likely to do that. "Fine, steal my wine. Though I'm surprised you want to wash off the man smell so quickly." With that she waves her friend off.
